Fictional short story in the Kenyon Review

Here's a link to a fictional short story in the Kenyon Review entitled "Esther Donnaly" by Ron Carlson. It's about a married couple putting things back together. It cheered me up. It's not quite the same topic area as what I've been writing, but I feel that professional courtesy requires me to call out good writing when I see it.

Cool! Ron Carlson was one of my writing teachers at Arizona State U. I got to read one of my stories with him and Rita Dove at a "reading" event back in the early 90's.

Hi s-p, I love comments like this, and I wish blogs could connect people and their writing like this more often. It is an excellent short story, and I would love to hear more of what kind of teacher Ron is. I sometimes dream of getting published in the Kenyon Review and then I look at the "about the author" sections in the back and see that they're all professors. Sigh...
